For millennia, whether from Chinese Medicine or in contemporary times, with the line of thought of Rudolf Steiner and Anthroposophy, the development of the human being has been analyzed based on what we call seteniu or 7-year cycles. So in the seven-year period from 7 to 14 years old, the human being develops towards greater interiority and introspection, needing a link and references between the external world and his or her internal world. It is in this phase of life that the individual expresses his life mission.
And literally. I can affirm that it happened this way with me. I was a little girl of almost 8 years old who loved reading the Holy Bible as if it were my favorite book of fairy and goblin stories, which inspired me and allowed me to dream. Reading those parables of Jesus preaching and healing people, reducing the suffering of the people and comforting hearts, led me to dream that I too could place my hands on people's shoulders and magically dissolve their suffering. As I grew older, I learned that this was just a dream, an illusion that could not be possible.
Years passed, I followed the plan that the society where I was raised required of individuals to study, get married, have children and start a family. So I studied Chemical Engineering at the University of America in Bogotá. As my mother told me, just in case I didn't find a man to support me. Hahaha, I laugh today, but back then I was convinced that's how it should be. I married Ingemar Olsson in Colombia in 1985 and we had 3 beautiful children: Victor, Daniella and Ludwig. In 1990 we moved to other countries for my husband's job, Sweden, Switzerland and Brazil.
I led the life of a housewife, dedicated to taking care of my family, until one beautiful day, already living in Brazil, after recovering, with the help of acupuncture sessions, from an illness that had no head or tail in the world. allopathic medicine, I decided to study Shiatsutherapy, Acupuncture, Qi Gong. I wanted to enter this world of oriental therapies, because, just as I was helped without the need for chemicals or mistreatment of my body, I also wanted to help others. Until that day I didn't remember my "ridiculous" dreams as a child.
And since life places us in perfect and well-calculated situations for our mental enrichment, I received a visit to my house from a Chilean lady who at that time I didn't even know, but who later became my inspiration. She recommended that I take a Reiki course, she was a Reiki practitioner herself. She had the conviction that this was how she had found a way to have inner peace and help others. Due to my ignorance, I believed that this study had to do with religion, or that perhaps it was the work of black magic or something like that, and since I was not ready to see or hear what the Universe was telling me, I placed the suggestion in a trunk. that I ended up forgetting.
Surprisingly, after two years I traveled to Chile and the owner of the house where I was going to stay was Silvia, the same woman who years before had suggested that I study Reiki. We talked a little about it and I promised to take it forward. I returned to Rio, which was where I lived in the '90s, and asked a fellow student who was somewhat esoteric if he knew anyone who taught Reiki. He went into detail about the importance of studying with a true Reiki master, that is, one who lovingly followed the precepts of Reiki. I began my studies of laying on of hands with Master Márcia Grangeiro. She gave me the first initiation and suggested that I practice Reiki on myself every day for a year, morning and night, in order to continue with the next levels. I followed her instructions to the letter and little by little gifts were developed, which according to her, were of advanced levels. I continued my Reiki studies with Márcia, receiving the necessary attunements up to the Master level; but at the same time, I specialized in the concepts of Chinese Medicine, Bach Flower Essences, Qi Gong therapeutic exercises, Crystals, etc. I opened a cozy office in the city of Rio de Janeiro in 2006 to serve the public with Holistic Therapy.
But not everything was rosy. In 2008, my husband became an invalid in Sweden due to a medical error and I found myself responsible for two children in pre- and adolescence, without knowing anything about how to be an independent and self-sufficient woman. I became desperate. Even so, I went to my Qigong and Chinese Medicine class that I was taking in another city far from Rio de Janeiro and told my situation to Professor Gutembergue Livramento. He gave me the best advice I have received so far. He simply told me, sit down and practice everything you have learned. For me they were wise words, without detours or sentimentality. Thank you. I came home and practiced!
For months I made a personal retreat in my home, expressing my fears, my insecurities, away from society, facing myself, crying from time to time, feeling guilty and seeing myself singled out by my mother and society for not having run away. of my husband to accompany him in his situation. At the beginning I had difficult days that softened as time went by. The discipline I had learned from my father allowed me to fully immerse myself in this experience until I emerged triumphant. Full of love, greater understanding of life and other topics, with a more open mind to continue my path.
And well, I have felt that I was rewarded for that effort. Later in 2010 I met Lama Chimed, in Mauá, and I immersed myself in the study and practice of Buddhism, as a result of the intuitive vibrational transformation made during my personal retreat. This was followed by trips to Kathmandu and some places in northern India, such as Dharamshala, to learn about the culture and teachings of Siddharta Gautama. I studied and practiced Tsalung Healing with Dr. Pasang Yonten Arya in Switzerland and several other Buddhist-based online courses.
During this time I also felt the need to study Reiki again, but with the intention of teaching others. My first master's degree in Reiki did not give me the necessary tools to be an excellent Reiki teacher. Everything was very intuitive and the result of personal practice. Then, I found sensei Johnny De Carli and with his leadership I did all the levels of Reiki again, in addition to Karuna studies, becoming a sensei as well. In his company we went as a group to Japan (2023) and I received initiations and teachings of the Reido Reiki healing method from its founder sensei Aoki Fuminori.
Today, I have been working and practicing healing and laying on of hands techniques for 20 years. I managed to make my dream come true of placing my hands on people's shoulders and being a mediating channel to help them reduce suffering. In the end my wish was not ridiculous and it was possible!
